We are most excited to announce that we are now an OFFICIAL 501(c)(3) as we received our notification from the IRS earlier this week. Last week, we delivered and adopted 5 seniors who were alone for the Easter holiday. Pictured above are samples of the Butterfly bags filled with goodies including word puzzles and sweet treats! The larger butterfly bag was filled with Honeybaked ham and all the fixings to enjoy a holiday meal. The easter bonnets were created by me and Gary. We had fun designing our bonnets! We heard that many wore them all day and one of our seniors sported her bonnet with a family Zoom call! Now, we are continuing to develop our programs to coincide with COVID-19. We have volunteered with the Senior Friendship At Home program to check-in on seniors who are alone. We also will make those TP runs, and other errands to those who cannot get out at this time. Our Q2 goal is to increase awareness on a national basis and to begin the creation of educational Zoom meetings. You no longer have to be local to participate in these. We will send a message enabling you to join us with a list of the topics and speakers. This is free of charge and we welcome anyone to join! We will also be starting a Senior Connectivity program and there will be lots to follow on that. We will serve as a referral and resource that can connect you to the resources that are right for you! This is just another way that we can be of service to our seniors and caregivers. Look for more information on this program very soon. For now, stay home and stay safe!
